Week in Review
The Baseball Handicapper’s 2nd half rally took a step back last week. For the week we were 2-4, minus 5.22 units. We are now minus 12.59 units for the 2011 season.
Since the All-Star Break we are 33-17 +30.66 Units.
Rosters Expanding Shortly
The Active Roster consists of 25 players for most of the season. On September 1st however Major League Rosters expands the Active Roster to 40 players. This results in many “marginal” or unproven players getting a chance to prove themselves as they compete for a job. Clubs that are still vying for a playoff spot will be reluctant to pursue this strategy resulting in even higher prices when a team competing for the post season plays another that has been eliminated.
Playoffs Coming Soon
The MLB Regular season ends on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 with the Playoffs beginning on Friday September 30th. As we did last year we will be providing our subscribers with write-ups on every playoff game and series whether or not we have an official Best Bet. We will be releasing Best bets as is warranted.
Wishing you a great week!
The Baseball Handicapper
